Mr. Thacker is a teacher with many talents and has used them to benefit the students at Copper Hills Elementary. During the challenges of the pandemic, his charisma and bright attitude shone through personally recorded video lessons for his students and demonstrated his care for their learning. His open communication and frequent sharing of class activities keeps parents feeling connected and informed. Mr. Thacker is festive and fun, always dressing up for holidays, spirit weeks, and other fun occasions. Leading up to holiday recitals, the school hallways are filled with the sound of piano music being played by Mr. Thacker in his classroom as his students rehearsed regularly for the concert-- and their performance is always one of the best! After school, Mr. Thacker helped to coordinate the school's Lego League team, leading them through their first years of experience at our school and paving the way for future students to be excited about STEM activities and learning. Knowing that this will be our last year of having Mr. Thacker with us, we will most definitely miss him-- his excellent teaching, his kindness and charisma, his artfully decorated classroom doors and bulletins, even his goofy custom avatars, and so much more. Thank you, Mr. Thacker!! We will miss you next year!!
