Mr. Strohm works tirelessly to help members of the Alta High School Robotics team find success and learn the skills needed to create, build, program, and drive quality robots to compete in First Robotics competitions. Mr. Strohm is a safe, encouraging mentor for all of his students. He cares about not only building their knowledge and abilities as engineers, but also works to increase their self-esteem. I have often heard him say, “My program is a place where kids succeed. They build friendships, acquire life skills, and find a place to fit in, where sometimes in other aspects of high school life they may not.” Mr. Strohm is someone who cares about his students and continues to be a positive role model in their lives. I wholeheartedly endorse Mr. Strohm for this award and recognition.
