Mrs Pearson is an amazing teacher here at Driggs. Our family has been lucky enough to have two children be educated by her. Our oldest child has asked every year since leaving 1st grade if she can just "take Mrs. Pearson with me to my next class?" Our youngest loves learning from her because he says, "She gives extra recess." When I have met with Mrs. Pearson she has always been straightforward, honest and direct about how my children can learn and continue to grow. My son was at an advanced reading level when he started 1st grade and I was concerned he would be bored and have behavior issues. Mrs. Pearson took the time to explain how her curriculum and teaching style would benefit my child. I have seen a direct result of his instruction from Mrs. Pearson. He does not hesitate to sound out difficult vocabulary and reads with emotion based on punctuation. It is amazing to watch Mrs. Pearson teach her students to LISTEN to other peers read, by closing their eyes and imagining the story as its being read out loud. I can not say enough great things about this phenomenal teacher at Driggs. We love you Mrs. Pearson!
