Mrs. Hyer changed my son's life! I realize that seems a little overwhelming- but let me tell you why- Lincoln has STRUGGLED to succeed in school- he was failing classes, getting in trouble and even ended up being suspended a few times all before 5th grade. We tirelessly worked with the school, teachers, and his pediatrician to find solutions. When we started the year, lincoln was anxious to begin school again and for having yet another teacher who he felt didn't care about him! All of that changed when we met Mrs. Hyer on back to school night. My husband and I went in with all the baggage of how hard he is but how great he is and so smart when he applies himself. She gave him the opportunity to start on a clean slate- without him feeling like he wasn't enough! The year has continued to build his confidence as a learner- he's happy to go to school and she genuinely has made such a difference in his life!
