I choreographed to this song, “River Flows In You”, because I think hope is much like a river. It ebbs and flows, ever changing. Sometimes it dries up, and sometimes it floods with surging force. Everyone has their own river of hope that flows through them, something that creates a space where they can do anything, be anything. A space where they can feel true happiness, warming them from the inside out. That’s what figure skating does for me. So if there ever is a drought of hope, you’ll know, that like a river, hope will always come flowing back.
