This is based on the struggle of mental illness. I think that it's unrealistic to view mental illness as something that can be cured overnight or from a simple intervention. Often, it will take a long time before one starts to feel better. But, even though one may not be able to cure their loved one or themselves, they can always give them/have a good day, and that's the hope that I wanted to encapsulate in this story. Even if one forgets their suffering only for a moment, it gives them hope that more days will become good days.
