I have always liked the idea of a reverse poem, and this one conveys how troubling our world is and how, even when our world threatens to drag our hope down, hope exists. This poem emphasizes that there is always a reason to hope, no matter what happens. It personifies our world in the first read-through, showing how others may want our world to seem hopeless. But the second read-through proves that, no matter how difficult it may seem, we can always have hope.
