I started writing this song in the middle of August and finally finished it near the end of September. I am hopeful because music brings people together. I wrote this song as a way for people to connect. I wrote The Pond for my school's percussion ensemble to play together so we could learn the song and play the song together. Since showing them the song we have become closer friends I wrote the song on Musescore.com and recorded with Voice Memos. The song starts out small but grows much like hope. I am hopeful because music connects people.
