My story (A Shining Star) is about a grandma telling her granddaughter about how she found hope in the midst of war. The story is through the point of view of the grandma when she was younger. She goes through many hard things, but she finds hope through writing in a journal. The granddaughter never wants anyone to forget what it was like being a child during World War 2. She publishes her grandma's journal. The way this story relates to the theme is because when the grandma wrote in her journal she found hope.
