There is so much war in the world today. Whether it is a physical war or a mental one. I titled my piece "Aftermath" to convey the battle that comes after the war. The piece flips back and forth between Major and minor, but I intentionally finish the song in a single "c" ... letting the listener decide whether it ends in Major (With hope) or in minor (Heartache). I choose to believe that the song ends with hope. So "I am hopeful because... even though the world is full of unimaginable hardship, there can be peace in the aftermath."
