The Utah PTA advocates for gun safety and violence prevention to protect children while respecting responsible gun ownership and Second Amendment rights. This bill strengthens safety by prohibiting the possession, manufacture, distribution, and sale of machine gun firearm attachments, reducing access to dangerous modifications and helping to prevent gun violence.

Impact on Children:

This law helps protect children by reducing access to dangerous firearm modifications, lowering the risk of gun violence. By making possession, sale, and distribution of machinegun attachments illegal—especially with stricter penalties for minors—it discourages youth involvement with high-powered weaponry and enhances overall community safety.
