The Utah PTA Board of Directors approved changes to the Local/Council Bylaws. The latest version of the Bylaws will always be available online in the President’s Handbook. When quoting, renewing or changing bylaws, please use the online copy for the latest updates.
Summary of the changes:
Local Bylaws Article V Section 4. to read: An accurate and current record shall be kept of the names of all members of this PTA/PTSA. The membership record may not be used for any purpose unrelated to members’ interests as PTA members. It cannot be used for solicitations, commercial purposes, partisan or political purposes, or be sold or purchased.
Council Bylaws Article IX, Section 4, c. to read: Maintain an accurate and current roster of the names of the local PTAs/PTSAs in council membership, the names and addresses of local PTA/PTSA officers and delegates, and the names and addresses of the members of the council Board of Directors. The membership record may not be used for any purpose unrelated to members’ interests as PTA members. It cannot be used for solicitations, commercial purposes, partisan or political purposes, or be sold or purchased.
