The Utah PTA Leadership Academy equips dedicated volunteers with skills to become effective, successful leaders within PTA and throughout their communities.
This series of four sessions provides participants with proven strategies in family engagement, advocacy, outreach, and communication as well as universal leadership skills.
Sessions are 5 to 7 hours each and are normally held once a month. Some sessions are held at the Utah PTA office and some are held on zoom. This provides an opportunity for interaction in some session as well as allows attendance from across the state.
This training is for ALL PTA LEADERS - local PTA leaders, council PTA leaders and Region PTA leaders.
The Utah PTA Leadership Academy is excited to welcome a new cohort of leaders who are eager to develop skills that can enhance their PTA and communities.
We are seeking leaders who:
- Demonstrate a passion for our vision that every child’s potential is a reality.
- Exhibit visionary and forward-thinking leadership qualities.
- Reflect professionalism, integrity, and PTA values.
- Believe PTA should be an inclusive association for all.
- Strive to increase family engagement through programs and PTA membership.
- Seek personal development to provide long-term leadership within their community.
The Utah PTA Leadership Academy offers PTA volunteers an immersive leadership development opportunity. The individual's and group's success is dependent upon complete attendance, engagement, and participation. As such, we ask that you check your calendar and lean on your support systems to ensure you are available to attend and fully engage in all sessions.
This training is being offered to leaders at no cost. Lunches on the two in person sessions are included.
