Valley View Elementary (Davis County) - Super Stars of Kindness!
Since 2017, Valley View has traditionally held a Kindness week by working with longtime PTA partner, Stand4Kind. This year they expanded it to a Kindness month and became a certified school of kindness with One Kind Act a Day. Having both non profits come together helped the students recognize the importance of being kind. One Kind Act a Day (OKAAD) and Stand4Kind are both non profits who help teach and certify schools and company’s state wide.
How Valley View did their Kindness Month:
Had a committee of 3 PTA volunteers
Set goal for how many kind acts for the month, connected with One Kind Act a Day (OKAAD) to work through the process
OKAAD donated
OKAAD shirts for all teachers and staff
Glow sticks for our glow party,
Some water bottles
Stickers to give away
