Description

General Description:

This bill creates certain requirements for the dispensing of opioids.

Highlighted Provisions:

For initial use prescriptions of opioids, a prescriber can offer to write a prescription for opioid antagonist like naloxone, unless the prescription is for 3 days or less. Pharmacies can offer counseling and can fill a prescription of an opioid antagonist like naloxone.
