Announcement In its April 2, 2020 meeting the Utah State Board of Education: Voted to request that the Legislature authorize the Board to waive the civics test graduation requirement for high school seniors who are no longer able to access the test because of the pandemic. Voted to waive several administrative rules dealing with educator and educator candidate licensing and evaluation requirements to allow more flexibility during the pandemic. The Board also directed staff to work with the Legislature to identify statutory requirements that may need to be suspended through a special session, including some budget and funding provisions.
