Resolved, That Utah PTA and its constituent associations advocate for adequate laws to protect children in all areas of child abuse, neglect, maltreatment, and exploitation.

Resolved, That the Utah Legislature be encouraged to provide adequate funding to provide suicide prevention programs in every district and school in the State of Utah.

*Resolved, That Utah PTA encourage school districts to educate local schools regarding district policy for Universal Precautions in first aid care and encourage local units to assist in acquiring appropriate supplies and training for all school personnel.

"Resolved, That Utah PTA seek and support legislation that would include ENDS in the Utah Code Annotated definition of tobacco products and treat them as such - including the need for licensing, sales restrictions, tax parity, and marketing; and, be it further
Resolved, That Utah PTA support state and local ordinances that appropriately address regulations of ENDS products; and, be it further"

Resolved, That Utah PTA support the position that any revenue generated through taxation of ENDS should support tobacco cessation and prevention programs;
Resolved, That Utah PTA seek and support legislation that would include ENDS in the Utah Code Annotated definition of tobacco products and treat them as such - including the need for licensing, sales restrictions, tax parity, and marketing;

Resolved, That Utah PTA and its constituent associations be involved in local and statewide efforts to educate parents, teachers, administrators and policy makers including school board members, to understand the need for and benefit of counseling programs in both secondary and elementary schools

Resolved, That Utah PTA support state law and Utah State Board of Education rules to grant flexibility in required curriculum content for local districts to provide additional information about contraceptive methods and devices for STD/pregnancy prevention and risk reduction while including strategies to return to abstinence when addressing strictly high-risk students outside of the regular public school setting such as youth in custody, young mother programs, or alternative high schools;

That Utah PTA support educational programs and intervention strategies designed to do the following: 1) Teach firearm responsibility through use of Utah PTA approved and recognized programs. 2) Encourage parents to talk with and educate their children about gun safety and responsible firearm usage; and be it further

Resolved, That Utah PTA support state and local ordinances that appropriately address regulations of ENDS products;
Resolved, That Utah PTA support effective FDA efforts to regulate ENDS as tobacco products;

That National PTA and its constituent associations strongly encourage efforts to establish comprehensive community mental health providers to offer preventative and treatment services to children and adults and comprehensive school mental health programs that include adequate access to school psychologists, school counselors and school social workers;
