Impact on Children: 

Traumatic life experience means a life event or a series of life circumstances that a child (or adult) experiences as physically or emotionally harmful or life-threatening and has lasting adverse effects on the person's physical, emotional, mental, social, or spiritual well-being. Evidence indicates that integrated, prevention programs addressing multiple risk factors
and community coalitions can be effective across a range of priority health-risk behaviors
prevalent in adolescence. This bill will support efforts to create such prevention programs.
