Create your own Family Education Plan!

Print the PDF downloads below. These worksheets give you a guide for making your Family Education Plan. They also help keep track of goals and progress.

We recommend that you keep them in a folder or binder. Sit down with your family to work through each sheet, creating goals to learn and grow as a family. Perhaps you can find the same night or morning each week to do a new worksheet and new activity.

Think of the things you have read about strengthening your family, encouraging education within your home, and partnering with your child's school and your community.

Choose an activity that will help your family in some way.

Whatever you do, find things to do together. Encourage your children to ask questions and observe the world. These things make learning fun and exciting.

Goals can range from simply making an effort to eat one meal a day together to getting out in the community to volunteer with one of the many nonprofit organizations. Keep track of your family activities by writing journal entries. If your children are old enough to write them, include their journal entries.

In your FEP folder, include items of school work that your child is especially proud of. This Plan should not only shine a light ahead but should provide a record of how far the child has come.

Turn on the light of learning in your home, and keep it burning for many years to come!
